The Low Down on LDRs

I told myself I wouldn’t let this day pass without writing an update on the blog. But while procrastinating – for a good hour or so – I came across a photo of a couple celebrating New Year in Venice, and I couldn’t help but feel a pang of jealousy.

See, that’s the thing about long distance relationships. There are moments when it hits hard and periods when everything seems perfect. There are months spent together in utter bliss, and other times, it’s special occasions spent apart with nothing but Facetime and Facebook – that’s if you’re lucky.

But I guess every relationship comes with its own pros and cons. And as with any other situation, I just have to suck it up and deal with it.

Though I won’t get to spend Christmas, New Year, and Valentine’s with the hubs, I do have a couple of things to look forward to in the months to come. That should be enough. For now at least.
