Work and Play

Summits, conferences, and celebrations – this week is full of them. I’ve got over three events lined up for work and I’m incredibly excited about most all of them.

I will admit though. I’m a wee bit nervous over the amount of emails that could pile up whilst I’m chatting it up with a marketing head or a country manager. I once took a bathroom break and came back to my laptop with 12 emails!!! Anyway, I digress.

The point is, I love being able to rub elbows with people doing amazing in their field – whether in business or art. I find myself captivated over their eloquence and knowledge and how confident they are in delivering their speeches to the crowd. To top it all off, they’re so inspiring because of their dedication to their job. Most of them have become legends in the industry either because of their hard work or sheer brilliance in showmanship or intellect.

And I guess that’s why I value my job so much now. It’s because I continuously see a career growth in the path I’ve taken and because I’m constantly learning and making a name for myself in the process.

I know that I have so much more to do in my life and that I’ve even more mistakes to make in the future, but for now I’m happy and grateful. And that’s all that matters really.
