Writing about food is a big part of my blog life. Back in my old Wordpress, I had an entire category for my food posts and restaurant reviews. Occasionally, I also serve as a senior writer for WhenInManila.com and have a number of articles related to food reviews.
Now that it’s been a while since I last food blogged, I feel like I should resume again – after all, I do think I’m a bit rusty already. For today’s post, here are my thoughts on 2 dishes from Uncle Cheffy.
Tiuey Noodles (P295) 1.5 out 5 on the DO scale
Pronounced as “chewy”, this dish comes with a scattering of beef and asparagus, and although I wouldn’t order it again because I don’t fancy the sauce, I do have to commend Uncle Cheffy for putting their own spin to Asian noodles. I only wish they added another dimension to the sauce though, I felt that a certain flavor was missing.
Memphis Barbecue U.S. Beef Rib Finger (P695) 4.5 out of 5 on the DO scale
1000g of fall-off-the-bone tender meat served with a side salad, marble potatoes, and a few sauces. I’ve tried a number of good ribs before and I can say that this is the one of the few that I’ll remember. The meat has both lean and fatty cuts and tastes delicious even without the sauces that it comes with.
See what I mean by a little rusty? Not to worry, I’ll start honing my writing even more soon!
